She is excited to be a part of the Wellpath Clinic team whose primary goal is to promote health and wellness.

General Practice

Common childhood illnesses (ear infections, colds, flu, food allergies, skin conditions), women’s health (PMS, menopause, endometriosis), healthy pregnancy, infertility, gastrointestinal concerns (IBS, heartburn, crohn’s, colitis, food sensitivities), skin conditions, headaches and inflammatory conditions (allergies, arthritis).

Clinical Care Focus: Family Medicine

It is well-known that there is a shortage in primary care physicians throughout Ontario, and the Muskoka Lakes region is a prime example. A 2010 article quoted the Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce in saying that most residents could not find a family physician close to home. Furthermore, as of December 2010 there were no doctors practicing in Bala and only one doctor in Port Carling (who is no longer accepting new patients).

Dr. Parsons’ main goal is to reduce this shortage in the Muskoka Lakes region by not only providing family-focused primary health care, but also promoting health prevention so that our system does not continue to be overburdened in the future. Her aim is to promote a community that is healthy and active, with an improved quality of life.
