Richard J. Porter

Born and raised in Lakewood, Ohio, Richard achieved his BA in Business and English at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania. He began his career in the privately held business division of Arthur Andersen & Company in 1989 where he first developed his skills of working with emerging growth companies.
In 1991, Richard joined Enterprise Rent-A-Car and helped to establish the company in Northeast Ohio. Between 1993 and 2005, Richard helped to establish Enterprise Rent-ACar in Canada and helped to grow it into the largest rental car company in the country. Between 2000 and 2002 he commuted between Toronto and San Jose, California to complete a two-year graduate business program.
From 2004 to 2009, Richard accepted the role of President of a Toronto-based media technology company where he played a fundamental role in establishing their operations in North America and Europe while also developing sales channels in Asia and other parts of the world.
In January of 2009, Richard and his wife, Dr. Kathryn Nobrega-Porter, established Wellpath Clinic. Together with his consulting company, Porter Development Group, Wellpath Clinic provides Richard the opportunity to work in two areas about which he is passionate: sustained wellness and business development. Richard is an avid environmentalist and a director on the Board of Wild Aid Canada. He is also a Director with the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and an advocate for Naturopathic Medicine.
